Raised Panel Head Board

A beautiful old unpainted pine panel door has been converted to a headboard to fit a double bed. The old half-round trim which was removed was all pinned with the tiniest square nails, which puts the door at around 100 years old. Here, a simple yet elegant crown was added to the top and then the entire thing was painted and antiqued. As it had never been painted before, it was sealed with shellac first. Legs were added to allow for it to be attached to an existing bed-frame.
